Our Commitment

As a language services company, our whole purpose is helping people understand and be understood. That commitment extends to how we build this website: GlobalSpeak Language Ltd wants every visitor — including people who use assistive technologies — to be able to browse our services, request quotes, and contact us without barriers.

Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-off project. We review the site regularly, test new features before release, and act on feedback from users.

Conformance Standards

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments.

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA: most content meets the standard, with the exceptions listed under Known Limitations below.

Accessibility Features

Measures we’ve taken across the site include:

• Semantic structure — proper headings, landmarks, and HTML5 regions so screen readers can navigate by structure.
• Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements (menus, forms, accordions) are operable by keyboard with visible focus states.
• Colour contrast — text and interface colours are checked against WCAG AA contrast ratios; information is never conveyed by colour alone.
• Alternative text — meaningful images have descriptive alt text; decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
• Resizable text — text can be resized up to 200% and the layout reflows without loss of content or functionality.
• Clear forms — form fields have visible labels, helpful error messages, and are announced correctly by screen readers.
• Reduced motion — animations respect the “prefers-reduced-motion” setting and none flash more than three times per second.
• Skip links — a “skip to content” link lets keyboard users bypass repeated navigation.

Compatibility

This website is designed to work with recent versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge) on desktop and mobile, and with common assistive technologies including NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and TalkBack. The site is responsive and usable in portrait and landscape orientation, and at high zoom levels.

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some parts of the site may not yet be fully accessible:

• Some older PDF documents may not be fully tagged for screen readers. If you need any document in an accessible format, contact us and we will provide one.
• Occasional third-party embedded content (such as maps or videos) may not meet the same standard; we choose providers with accessibility support wherever possible.
• Some decorative animations on marketing pages may not yet fully respect reduced-motion preferences; we are addressing this.

If you encounter a barrier not listed here, please tell us — it helps us fix issues faster.

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of this website. If you have difficulty accessing any part of the site, or need information in an alternative format (such as large print, accessible PDF, or plain text), please contact us. We aim to respond within 5 working days.

Enforcement

If you contact us with a complaint about accessibility and you are not happy with our response, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS), which supports the enforcement of the Equality Act 2010 in England, Scotland, and Wales.
